It would appear that former UFC lightweight champion turned Bellator fighter Benson Henderson has locked in a match up against a UFC legend.
Benson Henderson is coming off of a tough two fight losing streak at the moment, putting the fighter in a high pressure position for his next match up. Now the fighter is set to headline one of Bellator’s upcoming fight cards.
As reported by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani on the latest edition of The MMA Hour, James Gallagher has been pulled from his headlining match up against Adam Borics for Bellator 196 following an injury. Consequently, Benson Henderson will now be headlining the event.
The fighter will, however, not be facing off against Adam Borics. Rather, Henderson will now be going toe-to-toe with UFC legend Roger Huerta. Huerta put on an illustrious career inside the octagon, becoming the first UFC fighter to ever be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated.
Now Huerta and Henderson will be facing off in the main event of Bellator 196. The event will take place April 6 in Budapest.
