It would appear that a highly exciting trilogy rematch between former UFC middleweight champions Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold is now in the works.
Rockhold and “The Count” have thrown down on two separate occasions. Rockhold managed to choke out Bisping back in 2014, but Bisping returned in 2016 with a title earning knockout performance over the fighter.
Now 1-1 in their heated rivalry, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is potentially looking to pin the two mixed martial arts warriors against each other at UFC 226 on July 7 for International Fight Week in Las Vegas, Nev. Speaking on the latest edition of The MMA Hour, Luke Rockhold revealed the news.
Rockhold confirmed to MMA journalist Ariel Helwani on the show that the UFC is working on setting up the fight and that he wants the match up to take place within the light heavyweight division. Rockhold then claimed that a trilogy rematch against Bisping takes precedent over any and all other opportunities for him.
