Team Alpha Male warrior and former UFC bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt has come forward with a heated message concerning heated rival and former teammate T.J. Dillashaw.
Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw were once teammates at Sacramento, California’s highly praised gym Team Alpha Male. After Dillashaw left the camp, bad blood boiled between the two fighters.
“No Love” finally met Dillashaw inside the octagon at UFC 217, ultimately suffering a second round TKO loss to the fighter after nearly earning a finish of his own in the first round. Garbrandt recently took to social media to call out Dillashaw for a hopeful rematch. Now Garbrandt has come forward to point out Dillashaw’s uneventful first title reign.
Dillashaw first earned the UFC bantamweight title by defeating Renan Barao. The fighter would go on to defend the belt by facing off against Joe Soto in the fighter’s octagon debut.
Following a successful rematch against Renan Barao, Dillashaw would go on to suffer a split decision loss to Dominick Cruz.
