UFC superstar Conor McGregor has put on an illustrious career in the sport of mixed martial arts. Following a series of stunning knockout finishes inside the octagon, the Irish native seemingly has an entire country of fight fans behind him. Now SBG Ireland head coach John Kavanagh has come forward with a few words on the success of “Notorious.”
Conor McGregor first shocked the world with a 13 second knockout of UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo. Aldo was quickly on his way to becoming one of the division’s most dominant and dangerous fighters of all time, before suffering a swift title ending defeat to “Notorious.”
McGregor would go on to earn the UFC lightweight title with a finish victory over Eddie Alvarez, securing McGregor’s place as the UFC’s first and only fighter to ever simultaneously hold two titles. Taking to Instagram, John Kavanagh has decided to share his thoughts on McGregor’s momentous career.
“Over a decade of repetition behind closed doors for one moment under the lights. 13 years for 13 seconds.”
