Dana White Confirms That He Will Let Conor McGregor Go To The WWE

UFC superstar Conor McGregor has taken over the world of mixed martial arts. With that in mind, the fighting phenom has already tried to take over other combat sports as well.

“Notorious” has not competed inside the octagon since 2016, leaving many fight fans anxious for his UFC return. That being said, the fighter has been keeping himself busy in other ways.

McGregor made his professional boxing debut on Aug. 26, 2017, suffering a TKO loss to undefeated pugilist phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr. However, McGregor also walked away with the payday of his career for his first performance inside the squared circle.

Consequently, some fight fans began to question if “Notorious” would ever return to the octagon. At one point, a rumor began to spread that McGregor would be joining WWE as a professional wrestler, perhaps making his debut at WrestleMania 34.

UFC President Dana White has since come forward to reveal that he would have no problem allowing McGregor to compete in a WrestleMania event. As seen in the video below, Dana White was asked if he would allow the fighter to compete in the WWE event.

White decisively responded, “Yes.” However, White then confirmed that the initial rumors were not quite accurate, as McGregor never made an appearance at the event.

“So the story was out there that he was going to be in the WrestleMania. It’s not true.” White said. For Dana White’s full thoughts, check out the video below:
