Ever since video game publisher THQ closed its doors, Electronic Arts has been publishing video games under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) franchise. For EA Sports UFC 2, the company decided to sneak in a hidden character.
Longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan was playable in the game, as a hidden optional character. Now fight fans can watch an epic simulation of the cage side commentator facing off against one time UFC competitor Phil Brooks.
Phil Brooks, better known by his WWE moniker CM Punk, made it onto the EA Sports UFC 2 roster for his octagon debut against Mickey Gall. Gall dominated the former WWE superstar for a first round submission victory.
Still, the game offered an interesting look into what may happen if Joe Rogan and Phil Brooks ever met inside the octagon. Joe Rogan, after all, is a black belt in Taekwondo with a short run as a professional kickboxer.
Beyond that, Rogan is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu’s Eddie Bravo. Check out the results of the exciting video game match up within the video above.
