Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum is coming off of a tough loss from over the weekend. Now the fighter has come forward with a statement concerning the recent defeat.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in London, England over the weekend for the mixed martial arts promotion’s most recent event. On Saturday, March 17, UFC Fight Night 127 went down inside the O2 Arena for the London crowd.
Headlining the event, former title holder Fabricio Werdum went toe-to-toe with Alexander Volkov in a battle for division dominance. Volkov managed to put his opponent away in the fourth round, earning a knockout victory over Werdum in a stunning performance.
Taking to Instagram, Werdum has now come forward with a statement concerning the recent loss. Check it out below:

I am sad but I keep my head up with the certainty that life is made and mistakes and correct and that the most important of this trajectory is how we rise from a fall.
