UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson is finally set to face off against tough contender Khabib Nurmagomedov. Now “El Cucuy” is getting some serious heat from fight fans for a recent bit of trash-talking towards his upcoming opponent.
Ferguson and “The Eagle” have been scheduled to fight multiple times now, but have never made it to the octagon. Following weight complications and injuries, each match up has been disappointingly pulled.
Now, however, the two mixed martial arts warriors are set to fight for the undisputed UFC lightweight title at UFC 223. The highly anticipated fight card will take place April 7 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Now Ferguson has decided to take to Instagram to poke fun at his upcoming opponent. Nurmagomedov was forced to pull out of their scheduled match up for UFC 209 when the fighter was rushed to the hospital for weight management issues.
The fighter was later reported as having eaten Tiramisu before the big fight, leading to some ridicule from his opponent. Now Ferguson has decided to make light of the situation all over again.
