He’s Back!

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has not competed inside the octagon since suffering a tough knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum at the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s debut in Shanghai, China. With that in mind, Bisping has now set his sights on a new fight card.

Michael Bisping suffered a title ending submission loss to Georges St-Pierre back at UFC 217. Rebounding on three weeks notice, Bisping then went toe-to-toe with Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Fight Night 122.

This time around, Bisping suffered a brutal first round knockout loss. On a two fight losing streak, Bisping revealed that he was considering a retirement fight but had not yet decided.

Speaking on his podcast Believe You Me, “The Count” revealed that he is interesting in competing on the UFC Liverpool. Going down in Liverpool, England, the event is set to take place May 27 inside the Echo Arena.

“UFC, I’m available.” Bisping said. “If you want me on that card, you’ve got my number.”

“Nice retirement fight, Liverpool.”

“I am interested in fighting on that card.” The former champion continued. “We’ll see what the UFC can come up with, but I am definitely interested.”
