The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in London, England today, March 17, for the latest fight card from the organization. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting UFC Fight Night 127 for fight fans inside the O2 Arena.
Fighting in the featured preliminary match of the night, SBG Ireland’s John Phillips will be making his octagon debut against Charles Byrd. To see how UFC superstar Conor McGregor’s teammate fared in his debut, check out the UFC results below.
The first round kicked off with a dominant performance from Byrd. The fighter immediately took the SBG Ireland fighter to the canvas, locking in a body lock over the fighter from his back.
Byrd then choked out the fighter for a quick submission victory.
