Phil Brooks, better known by his WWE moniker “CM Punk,” made his MMA debut inside the octagon back in 2016. The WWE superstar turned fighter has been receiving criticize for the devastating loss ever since. Now UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan has decided to cast his opinion on Brooks, including what would happen if they met inside the cage.
Phil Brooks faced off against Mickey Gall back at UFC 203. The fight was Brooks’ first ever mixed martial arts event, with no amateur bouts to his name. With that in mind, Gall put on a dominant performance over the former WWE star.
Brooks suffered a submission loss via rear-naked choke within the first round. Speaking on his podcast, cage side UFC commentator Joe Rogan offered his thoughts on what would happen if he ever met Phil Brooks inside the octagon.
While Rogan has never competed, the color-commentator is a black belt in both Taekwondo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. When asked about the possibility of facing Brooks inside the octagon, Rogan explained that he does not want any part of the match up.
Rogan wished the pro-wrestler turned fighter well and explained that he does not believe Brooks should have debuted inside the octagon in the first place. Check it out in the video above.
