Top UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov is now gearing up for his shot at the title. Ahead of the big fight, the mixed martial arts phenom has decided to break down his thoughts on the top fighters within the division.
Nurmagomedov and UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson are now set to face off for the undisputed title at UFC 223. The event will take place April 7 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. UFC 223 will be available live on pay-per-view.
In the meantime, Nurmagomedov recently sat down with UFC correspondent Megan Olivi to offer his thoughts on some of the division’s top fighters. The fighter discussed Eddie Alvarez, Justin Gaethje, Dustin Poirier, Kevin Lee and even superstar Conor McGregor.
When speaking on “Notorious,” Nurmagomedov referenced McGregor as being UFC President Dana White’s son or nephew. “He is like UFC’s son or maybe Dana’s son or Dana’s nephew, something like this.” The fighter stated.
