Tough UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov is finally set to face off against UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson. Now “The Eagle” has a response for Conor McGregor following the fighter’s recent statement concerning the fight.
Nurmagomedov and Ferguson have been set to meet inside the octagon a few times now. However, the fighters have never gone toe-to-toe. Bad weight cuts and debilitating injures have sidelined the two mixed martial arts warriors time and time again.
However, Ferguson and Nurmagomedov are now set to fight for the undisputed UFC lightweight title at UFC 223. The highly anticipated live pay-per-view event will take place April 7 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
UFC megastar Conor McGregor is still the reigning UFC lightweight champion at the moment. However, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has elected to strip “Notorious” of his title once Ferguson and Nurmagomedov touch gloves at UFC 223.
“Notorious” has since taken to social media to drop a hint that he is ready to fight on short notice if either Nurmagomedov or Ferguson pull out of the coming match up. Over Twitter, McGregor simply stated “Stay ready.”
Now Khabib Nurmagomedov has fired back with a response of his own. Check it out below:
“Be ready stay on the line”
