UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov is gearing up for the biggest fight of his career. That being said, another possible match up concerning the fighter is already getting people’s attention.
Nurmagomedov is now set to face off against UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson at UFC 223. The two fighters have been set to throw down a few times now, with missed weights and injuries keeping them from ever meeting inside the octagon.
However, the two will be facing off for the undisputed UFC lightweight title at UFC 223. The live pay-per-view event will take place April 7 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
That being said, Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has since come forward to give his thoughts on another possible match up for the fighter. Speaking on the possibility of “The Eagle” facing off against UFC superstar Conor McGregor, Abdelaziz explained that a fight against former two division UFC champion Georges St-Pierre is what is more likely on Nurmagomedov’s radar.
“Khabib doesn’t really care about this fight happening. You know, Khabib is probably interested in fighting someone like Georges St-Pierre or somebody like that.”
