R.I.P. A 20 Year UFC Exec Has Passed Away

The mixed martial arts world has suffered another tragedy, as the lead producer for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has passed away.

Bruce Connal has been the lead producer for the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion for over two decades, creating a strong bond with some of the UFC’s commentators along the way. Now cage side commentator Jon Anik has come forward to reveal that the veteran producer has passed away.

Taking to Instagram, Anik broke the news.

“Our UFC community is absolutely devastated after the unexpected passing of our good friend and mentor, Bruce Connal. Bruce was the lead producer for all of the UFC PPVs and big shows over the last 2+ decades. He was the anchor, the kingpin, and the man most of us took our cues from. I can’t believe he won’t be in my ear Saturday night, or ever again.

“This is just an unfathomable personal and professional loss for our tight-knit production team. Every piece of my heart goes out to the Connal family. And everything we do tomorrow at UFC 222 will be in Bruce’s honor. We love you, Brucey, and we will miss you more than you know.”
