Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson recently made a bet with fellow former UFC competitor Chael Sonnen that did not end in the fighter’s favor. Now it would appear that Jackson has upheld his end of the deal.
Rampage Jackson and Chael Sonnen recently faced off in the first bout of Bellator MMA’s heavyweight tournament grand prix. The two mixed martial arts warriors ultimately went the distance, with Sonnen earning a unanimous decision victory over his opponent.
Before the fight, Jackson bet Sonnen that he would pay him $10,000 for every takedown Sonnen achieved during their bout. Well, Sonnen achieved a hefty number of takedowns during the match up.
Taking to Twitter, Sonnen has since revealed that Jackson wrote him a check following the fight.
“UPDATE -Received Rampage’s Takedown Check today.
He is a MAN of his WORD.
As am I:
I promised I would NOT CASH IT; and I won’t.
I will…
DEPOSIT it, though……”
