Rory MacDonald Agrees To Move Up And Face The Bellator Middleweight Champion

Former UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald recently made the fight to competing promotion Bellator MMA. With the Bellator welterweight belt now around his waist, “Red King” is already looking to lock down a super fight.

Rory MacDonald pulled out a unanimous decision victory at Bellator 192 for the welterweight title, having earned a submission victory over Paul Daley in his Bellator debut within the fight before. Now MacDonald wants to fight for the welterweight title as well.

Fellow former UFC competitor Gegard Mousasi is currently set to fight reigning Bellator middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho at Bellator 200. The two mixed martial arts warriors will battle it out for the belt May 25 inside the SSE Arena in London, England.

Taking to Twitter, Rory MacDonald revealed that he is interested in facing the winner of the match up.

“i agree to fight the winner of @RafaCarvalhoMMA vs @mousasi_mma for their middleweight championship after i defend my title at 170, hopefully it will go down the same night at bellator 200”
