“Rumble” Johnson Reveals How Much Weight He Used To Cut To Make UFC’s 170 Pound Division

Back in his early days of the UFC, retired UFC light-heavyweight title challenger Anthony “Rumble” Johnson competed as a UFC welterweight fighter.

And while he was an opposing force at 170 pounds, today’s version of the knockout artist is hard to envision at just 170 pounds.

Now, in a new post to his Instagram account, “Rumble” Johnson admits that he would cut as much as 40 pounds to make the UFC’s welterweight limit.

Perhaps the largest weight cut in the promotion’s history.

Here’s “Rumble’s” reveal:

Back in the 170 lbs days…

Thank God that’s over with!

I’m surprise that I didn’t hurt myself trying to make that weight. I was extremely blessed that no serious damage ever happen to my body….

Probably the biggest 170 ever! Dropping from 210 down to 170 (sometimes) lol
