The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in London, England over the weekend to host the mixed martial arts promotion’s latest fight card. Now fight fans are calling one of the night’s octagon performances as one of the greatest comebacks of all time.
UFC Fight Night 127 went down on Saturday night, March 17, inside the O2 Arena for the London crowd. Featured on the night’s event, UFC light heavyweights Magomed Ankalaev and Paul Craig went toe-to-toe for division dominance.
Magomed Ankalaev was seemingly getting the better of his opponent for much of the match. Nearing the end of the final round, it appeared that the fighter had a decision victory all but secured.
However, Craig managed to lock in a triangle choke submission attempt with just seconds left in the fight. The referee having seen enough, a stop was called to the contest with a only a single second left on the clock within the final round.
