The world of mixed martial arts has reached the anniversary of one of Nate Diaz’s most stunning octagon performances. Now it’s time to take a look back at the impressive moment.
UFC superstar Nate Diaz shocked the world when he choked out Conor McGregor back in 2016. The victory was one that sparked a rivalry that has snared the attention of hoards of fight fans around the world.
The two mixed martial arts warriors first faced off back on March 5, 2016 at UFC 196. Diaz punished “Notorious” with brutal strikes, before finally submitting the fighter with a rear-naked choke in the second round for the victory.
McGregor and Diaz would go on to fight once more at UFC 202. This time the two mixed martial arts phenoms went the distance in a five round war that ultimately earned “Notorious” a majority decision victory.
