There are perhaps few films oriented on martial arts that have reached the level of iconic popularity achieved by The Karate Kid. Branching into a massive franchise, the film would go on to produce multiple sequels. Now it would appear that the iconic series is receiving a unique spin.
YouTube Red, the premium content service for the famous video platform, recently released a trailer for Cobra Kai. The series is set to be a continuation from the original franchise, featuring the original cast of the film.
Character Johnny Lawrence decided to reopen Cobra Kai karate dojo, reigniting the rivalry between the iconic character and Daniel LaRusso.
The story is set over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament. Check out the official trailer for the exciting series down below.
