The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting another exciting evening of fights today. That being said, the the promotion’s entertaining fight card has lost a match up on just a moment’s notice.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is in London, England today, March 17, to host UFC Fight Night 127 for fight fans inside the O2 Arena. Featherweights Nad Narimani and Nasrat Haqparast were initially set to face off against each other on the night’s card. However, the fight has since been pulled.
After suffering an eye condition, Nasrat Haqparast was deemed unfit to compete by the UFC medical staff. Consequently, the fighter’s match up has been pulled from the evening’s event.
Check out the UFC’s official statement below:
“Based on advice from the UFC medical team on Saturday morning, Nasrat Haqparast was deemed unfit to fight due to an infectious eye condition and his bout against Nad Narimani has been cancelled. UFC FIGHT NIGHT: WERDUM vs. VOLKOV will proceed with 10 fights, beginning at 6pm GMT / 2pm ET / 11am PT.”
