The last time UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker stepped foot inside the UFC’s Octagon it was against 40 Year Old Cuban Olympic wrestler Yoel Romero.
He won the bout and secured the UFC interim middleweight strap in the process, and hasn’t fought since.
Yoel, on the other hand, recently took out Luke Rockhold in devastating fashion to earn a rematch for what is now the undisputed world title, after GSP vacated the belt after winning it from Michael Bisping.
The UFC just announced the rematch between Whittaker and Romero as the confirmed UFC 225 main event.
