The UFC’s break out star of 2018 so far, is that of Sugar Sean O’Malley.
The Dana White Contender Series prospect was ushered into the UFC ranks and given a main card pay-per-view slot in only his second UFC bout.
The always entertaining California based fighter, is about as flashy as they come, and the UFC has taken notice.
Now, according to O’Malley himself, the UFC has offered the young fighter the Ultimate Fighter Finale headline slot in July. The fighter was hoping to take the fight, but unfortunately his recent foot injury requires surgery.
The surgery will prevent O’Malley from accepting the UFC’s unprecedented offer.
Conor McGregor didn’t even headline a card at three fights in.
O’Malley expects to return to action this fall.
