Dillon Danis, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach to UFC superstar Conor McGregor, made his big mixed martial arts debut over the weekend. Now it would appear that Bellator MMA is already looking to lock down the grappling phenom’s next opponent.
Stepping inside the cage for the highly anticipated fight card of Bellator 198 on Saturday, April 28, Danis faced off against Kyle Walker, ultimately earning a first round submission victory over the fighter.
Now fellow Bellator newcomer Jake Smith has taken to social media to reveal that the promotion is allegedly looking to lock down a fight between himself and Danis for September. Check it out below:
“BREAKING NEWS: @BellatorMMA is currently working on getting @dillondanis and me on a card sometime near September. Can’t wait for the oppertunity. Thank you @MikeKoganMMA and @IridiumSports for working on getting this deal finalized”
