UFC superstar Conor McGregor is getting quite a bit of heat for his recent incident in Brooklyn, New York. Now UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan has come forward with a few words on the matter.
“Notorious” made a surprise appearance to the backstage of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Thursday, April 5. Leading a large entourage to a nearby loading dock, the Irish native allegedly attacked a bus filled with red corner fighters for UFC 223.
Multiple fighters were injured in the fracas, including Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg. After turning himself in to local police, McGregor is now facing misdemeanor and felony charges for the incident.
Speaking on his podcast Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan revealed that he believes Conor McGregor is receiving special treatment from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) concerning the incident.
“Imagine if Ray Borg threw that dolly at that bus and Conor was inside.” Rogan said. “He’d be gone. His career would be over. That is one of the more f**ked up things about this. You know that Conor is getting special treatment. He is. That’s not good for anybody.”
