Conor McGregor Moves Lawsuit Against Him To Federal Court

During the promotional period ahead of the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 202, UFC superstars Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz entered an intense altercation during the event’s pre-fight press conference. “Notorious” would go on to face a lawsuit over the incident. Now it would appear that things are going to federal court.

During the conference, Diaz and McGregor began hurling objects at each other. By the end of it, McGregor was throwing cans of Monster Energy at his upcoming opponent.

One of the cans allegedly struck security guard William Pegg during the incident. Pegg would go on to file a lawsuit against McGregor. Pegg is claiming $3,065.96 worth of medical bills. However, the security guard also wants $225,000.00 in restitution.

As reported by mmapayout, the plaintiff filed an Offer of Judgment on April 10. McGregor has since elected to remove the case to federal court, rather than reach a settlement for the case.
