Newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has put on a dominant performance in his mixed martial arts career. With that in mind, UFC President Dana White has come forward to reveal his thoughts on the MMA career of “The Eagle.”
Nurmagomedov put on a dominant performance against Al Iaquinta in the main event of UFC 223 over the weekend. The fighter earned a unanimous decision victory that claimed Nurmagomedov as the new undisputed lightweight champion of the UFC.
The victory put Nurmagomedov at 26-0 in his career, having never lost a round inside the octagon. Speaking to reporter Aaron Bronsteter after the recent event, Dana White revealed that he believes Nurmagomedov is the UFC’s historically most dominant fighter.
“Absolutely. And, for what he went through this week physically, emotionally, mentally… it’s just unbelievable. There are probably three guys on the entire roster that would accept three fights in a a week. Conor McGregor absolutely would, ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone and Khabib.”
