It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) may have finally locked down a replacement opponent for Kamaru Usman. Now UFC Fight Night 129 will possibly be seeing a former title challenger in the night’s main event.
UFC Fight Night 129 is set to go down May 19 inside the Movistar Arena in Santiago, Chile. Initially set to headline the night’s card, Kamaru Usman and Santiago Ponzinibbio were set to battle it out for division dominance.
However, Ponzinibbio has since been pulled from the night’s card after suffering an injury. As reported by MMA Fighting, former title challenger Demian Maia is now being targeted as the fighter’s replacement opponent.
While it has not yet been made official, it would appear that Usman may be facing off against the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu phenom in Chile.
