Newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov decided to call out former two division title holder Georges St-Pierre following his recent victory. Now “Rush” has come forward with his reaction.
“The Eagle” went toe-to-toe with Al Iaquinta in the main event of UFC 223 over the weekend. The highly anticipated fight night went down on Saturday, April 7, inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Nurmagomedov and Iaquinta ultimately went the distance, with “The Eagle” earning a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. The reigning UFC lightweight champion then decided to call out Georges St-Pierre.
Speaking to MMA reporter Ariel Helwani, George St-Pierre has provided his response.
“I feel UFC and Khabib got unfinished business before I try to make a step in here to go for the 155 title.”
