UFC welterweight Gunnar Nelson has been removed from one of the UFC’s upcoming co-main event match ups following a tough injury. Now Nelson has come forward to reveal how his recent surgery has unfolded.
Nelson was initially set to face off against Neil Magny in the co-headliner for UFC Fight Night 130. However, the fighter was pulled from the card after citing a knee injury.
Nelson has since underwent surgery for the debilitating injury, with the procedure seemingly having gone well. Check out Nelson’s update on the matter within the social media post below:
“Surgery went well, 8 weeks of recovery and then straight to the gym again… looking at a fight this year for sure.”
UFC Fight Night 130 goes down May 27 inside the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.
