Matt Hamill is a mixed martial arts veteran. The fighter has competed in a series of promotions over the years, including a lengthy career under the banner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Hamill had not competed in the sport of MMA for nearly a year when he made his appearance under the banner of Maverick MMA. However, the veteran fighter managed to earn a title in his big return.
Facing off against Chris Birchler at Maverick MMA 6 on Saturday, April 14, Hamill made a run for the light heavyweight title. Defeating his opponent with a split decision, Hamill earned the title in his big return to the sport.
