Former women’s UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey was once one of the most dominant forces inside the octagon. The Olympic Judo medalist took the world of mixed martial arts by storm, savagely taking out each opponent placed in front of her.
The fighter accumulated a dazzling professional record of 12-0, having never gone the distance in her entire career, before facing Holly Holm at UFC 193. Then, everything changed.
Holm put Rousey away with a brutal question mark headkick knockout within the second round, putting an end to the Olympian’s undefeated streak. Rousey would come back to the octagon a year later to face Amanda Nunes.
This time, the fighter suffered a first round TKO loss to the now reigning champion. Rousey has not stepped inside the octagon since going on a two fight losing streak.
Speaking on his hit podcast Joe Rogan Experience, longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan has come forward with his thoughts on Rousey’s meteoric rise through the sport and ultimate downfall.
