Reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and former title holder Jon Jones have formed quite the heated rivalry over the years. While Cormier suffered a knockout loss to the fighter in their rematch, the reigning title holder now wants another shot at the fighter.
Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones first faced off at UFC 182, in which Jones earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. The mixed martial artists then met inside the octagon at UFC 214 back in 2017. While Jones earned a knockout win over Cormier, the victory would later be overturned to a no contest.
Jones failed his drug test for the event, leading to the fighter having his license revoked by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC). Speaking to MMA Fighting, Daniel Cormier revealed that he is interested in another chance at facing Jon Jones.
“I still feel I can win.” Cormier said. Now Jon Jones has come forward to reveal that he is down for the trilogy rematch.
“Come get me baby.”
