The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted another exciting night of fights over the weekend. Now newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has come forward with a statement following his dominant victory.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion was in Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, April 7, for the UFC’s latest fight card. This time around, the UFC hosted the highly anticipated event UFC 223 from within the Barclays Arena.
Headlining the show, undefeated UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov battled it out with Al Iaquinta for the undisputed lightweight title. Nurmagomedov put on a dominant display over his opponent, ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory for the title.
Taking to Instagram, “The Eagle” has now decided to offer a statement concerning his recent win.
