Khabib Issues Scary Threat To Tony Ferguson Following UFC 223 Fallout

The UFC has booked Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson four times now, and all four times the fight has been cancelled.

UFC president Dana White came out publicly and said he would never make an attempt at booking this scrap again, yet Khabib Nurmagomedov isn’t letting that sway him from wanting the fight.

Long overdue, Khabib admits his focus ahead of this weekend’s UFC 223 title fight is still on Ferguson. He even issued the threat of a smashed face to Tony in a recent interview.

Now, Khabib takes on Max Holloway on six days notice in an attempt to save the night’s main event.

Here’s his recent remarks on Ferguson: (Via MMAFighting.com)

“I understand him. Because I pull out. I have so many injures, ACL, MCL, I broke my hand, I broke my ribs. I have surgery on my back.”

“I really want to smash his face. I still want this fight.”

“Emotionally, I feel like I’m still focused on him. Little bit I still focus on him emotionally. Al the time, I’m training [for him] all this couple of months.

“It’s hard. When you never fight, when you never compete on this level, I think you cannot understand this.”

“Sometimes we have plan, but God have different plan. It’s crazy. Maybe we’re gonna finally fight maybe the fifth time. Nobody knows. It’s crazy situation. I think fans now don’t believe the fight. Dana said he’ll never do fight. But what happens if I keep winning, he keep winning? We have to fight.”

UFC 223 goes down this Saturday night, from Brooklyn’s Barclay Center in New York. The night’s main card airs live on pay-per-view.
