Khabib’s Camp Demands That The UFC Rebooks His Fight Against Tony Ferguson

Fight fans will have to continue to wait to see Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov throw down inside the octagon. The mixed martial artists highly anticipated title fight set for UFC 223 has been cancelled. With that in mind, Nurmagomedov’s camp is already interesting in re-booking the fight.

Ferguson and Nurmagomedov have been scheduled to fight multiple times now. Debilitating weight cuts and severe injuries have cancelled each match up between the two fighters.

Most recently, Nurmagomedov and “El Cucuy” were set to throw down in the main event of UFC 223 for a highly anticipated UFC lightweight title fight. However, Ferguson has since suffered an injury to his knee. The fight has been cancelled.

Speaking to TASS, Nurmagomedov’s father and coach Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov has come forward to reveal that “The Eagle” still wants to throw down with Ferguson.

“As long as Ferguson is able to walk, we’ll demand this fight.”

“We’re ready to fight with him any time and under any circumstances. We’re wishing him to get well, and waiting for him.”
