The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has officially announced a highly anticipated title fight rematch between Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw. Now the two mixed martial artists will have a chance to settle the score.
Cody Garbrandt and T.J. Dillashaw were once teammates over at Sacramento, California’s highly acclaimed training camp Team Alpha Male. However, Dillashaw would go on to leave the camp on bad terms with many of the gym’s members.
“No Love” and Dillashaw have been heated rivals ever since. The two fighters first faced off at UFC 217, with Dillashaw ultimately earning a TKO victory over his opponent. That being said, many fight fans believe Garbrandt nearly finished his opponent in the first round.
Now the UFC has announced that the two fighters will face off once again at UFC 227. The highly anticipated live pay-per-view event will take place in Los Angeles, Calif. on Aug. 4.
