UFC strawweight champion “Thug” Rose Namajunas was able to repeat history and defeat Joanna Jedrzejczyk in Saturday’s UFC 223 co-main event.
The two females scrapped it out for five full rounds, but it was Rose who walked away the victor.
Now, in a shocking new statement from the former queen of the UFC, Ronda compliments both competitors for their efforts.
Ronda recently stated that she was always concerned that the women in the UFC needed her, but now, she seemingly has passed the torch to the new UFC generation.
Here’s Ronda’s thoughts on Saturday’s UFC 223 co-main event:
So proud of @joannamma and @rosenamajunas fighting their hearts out and representing all women and all fighters tonight??❤️ @UFC is lucky to have you both
