Tony Ferguson Breaks His Silence With Lengthy Statement On UFC 223 Cancellation

Things are simply not going Tony Ferguson’s way at the moment. Now the UFC interim lightweight champion has come forward with a lengthy message.

Tony Ferguson was initially set to face off against tough division contender Khabib Nurmagomedov for the undisputed UFC lightweight title in the highly anticipated main event of UFC 223. However, on just six days notice, Ferguson tore his LCL.

This makes for the fourth scheduled match up between Ferguson and Nurmagomedov to be cancelled. Now “The Eagle” is set to fight UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway for the undisputed UFC lightweight title.

Tony Ferguson and reigning, yet inactive, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor are to be stripped of their respective titles as soon as the first punch is thrown in the upcoming main event. Taking to Instagram, Ferguson has now provided an emotional statement on the matter to his fight fans.
