Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson was robbed of a chance to fight for the undisputed title when he injured himself jut six days before UFC 223. With that in mind, it would appear that the fighter is now healing quite rapidly.
“El Cucuy” was initially set to face off against Khabib Nurmagomedov for the title at UFC 223. However, Ferguson tripped over a cable during a media event and tore his LCL just days before the fight. This made for the fourth time the two fighters have been scheduled to throw down, but ultimately cancelled from meeting inside the octagon.
Ferguson has since gone through surgery for his wound and is taking a quick road to recovery. Check out the fighter’s update within the video above.
