UFC 223 Weigh Ins: Holloway Out, Pettis In, Who Missed Weight, Khabib Status Now Unknown | UFC Results

Despite the abrupt turmoil of fight week, caused by Conor McGregor’s attack on Thursday, the show must go on.

As such, the fighters remaining on Saturday’s UFC 223 fight card hit the scales this morning in New York, to make their bouts official.

Main event fighter Max Holloway was deemed medically unfit to compete, he never made it to scales this morning.

It was revealed earlier this week that Holloway needed to cut 31 pounds in just six days to make the lightweight title fight official.

The UFC featherweight champion requested that the fight take place at welterweight prior to accepting the last minute fight at lightweight.

Former UFC champion Anthony Pettis agreed to try and make weight to replace Holloway.

Pettis was originally slated to face Michael Chiesa, before Chiesa got injured in the Conor McGregor attack.

Anthony Pettis missed championship weight on his first attempt, weighing in at 155.2. He did not weigh in for a second time.

Right now it is unclear if Pettis will face Khabib, or if Khabib is off the card.

UFC 223 goes down this Saturday, April 7, from the Barclay Center, in Brooklyn, New York. The night’s main card airs live on pay-per-view.
