UFC superstar Conor McGregor crashed the recent UFC 223 Media Day event, causing a fracas that has left multiple fighters unable to compete on Saturday night. Now fighters have come forward over social media to let their thoughts concerning the recent incident be known.
UFC 223 is set to go down Saturday night, April 7, inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. On Thursday, the UFC visited the Barclays Center for the UFC 223 Media Day.
Conor McGregor decided to make his presence known shortly after the event, reportedly sneaking in a large group of his entourage backstage through credentialed media members of his company The Mac Life. A bus filled with fighters competing in the red corner on Saturday was sitting inside a parking garage backstage, when McGregor and his crew payed a visit.
The bus was attacked by the group, with McGregor allegedly hurling a loading dolly into a window of the bus. Multiple fighters were injured from the incident, including Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg. Both fighters have since been pulled from their match ups.
“Notorious” is now in police custody, facing a felony charge of criminal mischief and three misdemeanor charges of assault. Check out what many fighters had to say about the incident within the social media posts below:
He shouldn't have been trying to punk his boy when he was alone, like a bully. Then he expects not to get rolled on fukn rookie..
And then stay on the bus
haha u guys got punked ….— Nathan Diaz (@NateDiaz209) April 5, 2018

I keep hearing @TeamKhabib whole team was on this bus. I know for a fact that it was only Khabib and Ali on this bus with the rest of the red corner fighters. It would have been much , much worse if his whole team was on the bus.

For someone talking about how much money he wants to fight again, showing up and trying to scrap for free seems like a poor business move. Especially if your license is revoked in the process… or is that a part of the plan? ??
