It would appear that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has lost another big match up for one of the promotion’s upcoming cards.
The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion will be heading to Glendale, Arizona on April 14 for UFC on FOX 29. The highly anticipated fight card is set to feature a series of exciting match ups.
In the night’s co-main event, MMA veterans Carlos Condit and Matt Brown were initially set to face off for division dominance. However, it would appear that the fight will now be cancelled.
As reported by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani over Twitter, the fight has been pulled from the card. Brown reportedly tore his ACL, leading to the fight cancellation.
However, the UFC is allegedly looking to keep Carlos Condit on the card. This news is coming off of the heels of UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson being pulled from the main event of UFC 223 due to a torn LCL, forcing the fighter out of his highly anticipated title fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
