Unbeaten UFC phenom, Brian Ortega has just reached out and offered to fight GGG on Cinco De Mayo.
That’s because GGG just lost his opponent in Canelo Alvarez, following Canelo’s failed drug test for steroids.
Now, in need of an opponent, one of the UFC’s brightest young stars sincerely offers up his name as a viable replacement in the boxing match.
Ortega of course is the man who knocked out Frankie Edgar on short notice. He would follow up that performance by agreeing to face Khabib Nurmagomedov on just six days notice.
The UFC opted for a Max Holloway fill in, but with this latest proclamation, no one can doubt the warrior spirit of L.A.’s Brian Ortega.
