UFC welterweight Colby Covington has become a character of some controversy as of late. Now a video of the fighter being verbally ridiculed by fellow fighter Kamaru Usman has made its way onto the internet.
Colby Covington first struck up controversy back at UFC Sao Paulo in 2017. Directly after defeated Demian Maia, Covington used his post-fight interview to call Brazil a “dump” and the arena crowd “filthy animals.” Covington has since drawn the ire of some of his fellow fights and fans alike.
Most recently, Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington had a heated exchange backstage ahead of the UFC 25th Anniversary Press Conference. Usman began criticizing the fighter for trash-talking over social media, as Covington continued to look at his phone without engaging in the conversation.
Things nearly ended in a brawl, but UFC security was present to break the struggle up. Check it out within the video above.
