Women’s UFC strawweight Michelle Waterson pulled herself out of a two fight losing streak over the weekend. Now the fighter has come forward with a statement for her recently defeated opponent.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted the highly anticipated fight card of UFC on FOX 29 on Saturday, April 14. The fight night went down inside the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, offering a series of exciting match ups to the Glendale crowd.
Among them, Michelle Waterson went toe-to-toe with Cortney Casey-Sanchez for the Glendale crowd. Waterson was coming off of tough losses to Tecia Torres and Rose Namajunas leading into the match up.
This time around, however, the “Karate Hottie” earned a split decision victory. Following her big win, Waterson took to Instagram to offer her opponent a few respectful words. Check it out below:
