Amanda Nunes Gives New Conditions For Potential Cyborg Super Fight

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes has faced off against some seriously tough opponents during her career. From Miesha Tate to Ronda Rousey, Nunes’ hit list features a series of stunningly talented fighters. With that in mind, the title holder has yet to take on one of the UFC’s most dominant female fighters.

UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg has put on a dominant performance during her mixed martial arts career. The fighter has been campaigning for a super-fight against Amanda Nunes for some time now.

After negotiations fell flat, Nunes was locked in to face Raquel Pennington at UFC 224. The two will throw down May 12 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.

Speaking on UFC Unfiltered Nunes has since revealed that she will revisit the idea of facing Cyborg following her next big title fight.

“After my fight against Rocky, we will talk again and we will see.” Nunes stated.

Nina Ansaroff, fellow UFC fighter and significant other to Nunes, later added:

“The talk in December was maybe Cyborg in July. That would give her time to be 145 [pounds]. She’s not doing a catchweight. She wants to go to 145 but then to be like fight 135 and then her want to do it in July, she’s coming from her smallest to meet you at your weight. She needs a little more time than that.”
