It was revealed on Monday, May 21, that former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum was set to headline the UFC’s debut in Moscow Russia on Sept. 15. However, the fighter has since been flagged by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) for a failed drug test.
As reported by MMA Fighting, Werdum failed an out-of-competition drug test from a sample taken April 25. The substance for which Werdum failed his drug test has yet to be revealed.
The former champion was initially set to face off against Alexey Oleynik for the UFC’s Russia debut.
