Fight fans are pouring into the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England tonight, May 17, for the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 130.
The night’s card is set to see two-time UFC welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson go toe-to-toe with Liverpool’s own undefeated fighter Darren Till. Continuing the night’s main card ahead of the exciting headliner, fellow welterweights Claudio Silva and Nordine Taleb are now throwing down for division dominance.
The opening round kicked off with a furry. Silva began firing off a series of strikes, pouring the pressure on his opponent. Silva managed to get his opponent to the canvas, pummeling Taleb with a brutal collection of ground and pound.
Taking the fighter’s back, the fighter managed to sink in a rear-naked choke. The referee had seen enough and called a stop to the contest.
